The Superior North Catholic District School Board (SNCDSB) is pleased to announce the appointment of Christopher Martin as the new Assistant Superintendent of Education. With a proven track record of responsiveness, innovation, and student centered approach, Mr. Martin is committed to fostering the conditions needed for our system to continue to flourish in our complex and ever-changing world.

Mr. Martin brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his new role. He completed the Supervisory Officer Qualifications Program with the Ontario Principals' Council and the Principal's Qualifications Program at Lakehead University. In addition, he holds a Master of Educational Administration from the University of New Brunswick and a Bachelor of Education in Physical and Health Education from Saginaw Valley State University in Michigan.

Throughout his career in education thus far, Mr. Martin has held various administrative and teaching positions which have shaped his understanding of the diverse needs of our students and schools. He has taught students from Kindergarten to Grade 12 as a classroom teacher and has worked as a school principal in both the elementary and secondary panels. Most recently, he served as the Principal of Lake Superior High School, where he strived to support student achievement and wellbeing. His successful support of multiple system initiatives and portfolios, showcases his ability to effectively lead and drive positive change within educational settings. Mr. Martin's dedication to creating inclusive and student-centered environments has consistently resulted in improved outcomes for students and enhanced overall school culture.

The Superior North Catholic District School Board is confident that Christopher Martin's dynamic leadership, and dedication to student success will make a significant impact in his new role as Assistant Superintendent of Education.
